Messenger takes “Zen-like” approach to sharing the road
How we deal with our frustrations on the road has a lot to do with how they will end up affecting our driving, riding, or walking.
James Adamson (AKA “Magnum”) is a local messenger who chooses to be calm and collected when someone makes him mad. Magnum was profiled in today’s Oregonian (page E1) as part of their “Working” series.
Reporter Helen Jung asked how he deals with angry drivers. According to Jung,
“He let’s it go. He exudes an almost Zen-like calm and says he just doesn’t think it’s wise to argue on the road.”
That’s great advice from someone who spends their entire day in traffic.
